Chess Survivor

... is a game that combines Vampire Survivors and Chess. You play as a lone pawn that must use various moves and abilities to fend off an endless horde of enemy pieces.

This is a project that I worked on as part of my studies at the Academy of Interactive entertainment. I worked alone on this project; it is all my own original work. I enjoyed this project and I plan on continuing to work on it in the future. during the 4 weeks I had to work on this in class I was only able to get the basic functionality finished and only enemy pawns. In the future I plan to add a variety of features including but not limited to:

• Enemy pieces
  • Bishop, Knight, Rook, Queen, King
• All Moves
  • Bishop, Rook, Queen
• All Abilities
  • Slash, Charge, Slam...
• Menus and level system
• 'Ultimate Combo's'
  • A system where each combination of move and ability has a unique 'ultimate'
  • the player can only choose 1 'Ultimate Combo' per game.
• Challenging bosses where the players movement is restricted to an 8x8 grid.
• More intuitive mobile controls.
